Neuro-Oncology

Neuro-Oncology hasn’t changed much in the last 20 years, or has it? In this brief but impactful session, we will discuss how molecular markers are impacting diagnosis of a brain tumor and can aid in treatment options, why clinical trials are important and are trying to push the needle forward for treatment more than ever, provide education regarding end of life support and navigating when a person gets a significant diagnosis such as brain cancer, and provide an opportunity to ask questions you may have but never got to ask.

Critical Care

What a challenge it can be to care for a critically ill traumatic brain or spine injured patient. It is essential to provide evidence-based nursing interventions to improve traumatic brain and spine injury patient outcomes. The top ten nursing priorities of care will be discussed for both the traumatic brain and spine injured patient. You do not want to miss this opportunity to validate your competence in caring for these critically ill patients as the top 10 nursing care priorities for traumatic brain and spine are presented.
